Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions I hear most before someone books a cash-pay session. If you don’t see your question here, reach out and I’ll answer it directly.

Why cash-pay instead of insurance?

Cash-pay means no waiting on prior authorizations, no visit limits set by an insurance company, and more one-on-one time with me in every session. It’s a choice, not a downgrade — if you’d rather use your insurance benefits, I also see patients through CACC Physical Therapy in Parker, Colorado.

What happens in a Comprehensive Evaluation?

We’ll go through your history, movement patterns, and specific goals in detail, then build a personalized treatment plan together. This is the best starting point if you’re not sure what’s going on or want a full picture before committing to a plan. See the Services page for pricing.

What does a Functional Dry Needling session involve? Does it hurt?

Thin needles are inserted into specific muscle trigger points to release tension and reduce pain. Most people feel a brief muscle twitch or ache during treatment, not sharp pain, and any soreness afterward is usually mild and short-lived — similar to a tough workout.

How does a Home Exercise Program work — is it in-person, virtual, or a written plan?

I start with a virtual consultation to assess your movement and goals, then build you a customized exercise plan you can follow on your own. It’s ideal if you know generally what you need but want expert programming without committing to ongoing in-person visits.

How long is a session, and is it in-person or virtual?

I offer a virtual consultation first to assess fit and make sure I’m the right person to help. From there, most hands-on care (evaluations and dry needling) happens in person in Parker, Colorado, while Home Exercise Programs can be run fully virtually.

What’s the cancellation/rescheduling policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations or reschedules inside that 24-hour window incur a $50 fee, since that time is held specifically for you.

What if I have insurance — can I still use these services, or should I go to CACC instead?

These cash-pay services are self-pay and aren’t billed through insurance. If you’d rather use your insurance benefits, I see patients through CACC Physical Therapy in Parker, Colorado, and you’re welcome to book there instead.

How do I book, and what happens after I submit the contact form?

Head to the Contact page and submit the form with a bit about what you’re dealing with. I’ll follow up directly to schedule your virtual consultation or first session.
